Job Description:Network Engineer (Routing and Switching) | 3-8 years

Role Overview:

Supports the operation and maintenance of traditional and cloud-based network infrastructures, focusing on foundational tasks and learning advanced skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and troubleshoot Layer 3 networks using TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Assist in configuring NAT, IPv4, and firewall policies (TCP/UDP).
• Support troubleshooting in cloud network environments (GCP and AWS preferred).
• Follow change management processes and provide on-call operational support.
• Document network configurations and assist in implementing work intake systems.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Layer 3 networking (TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Familiarity with NAT, IPv4, and firewall operations (TCP/UDP).
• Deep technical expertise on CISCO, CISCO NEXUS switches and routers.
• Exposure to cloud network troubleshooting (GCP and AWS desirable).
• Understanding of change management and operational support.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of networking experience or relevant internships.
• Certifications like CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of GCP and AWS cloud networking.

Senior Network Engineer – Routing & Switching – (5+ years exp)

Role Overview:

Leads the design, deployment, and optimization of traditional and cloud network infrastructures, providing technical expertise and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and troubleshoot complex Layer 3 networks using TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Configure and resolve issues with NAT, IPv4, and firewall policies (TCP/UDP).
• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud network environments in GCP and AWS.
• Adhere to change management processes and provide high-level on-call support.
• Collaborate with managers to eliminate outdated processes, establish work intake systems, and implement SLAs for changes.

Required Skills:

• Advanced expertise in Layer 3 networking (TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Strong proficiency in NAT, IPv4, and firewall operations (TCP/UDP).
• Design, implementation and migration experience on CISCO, CISCO NEXUS switches and Routers.
• Experience in cloud network troubleshooting (GCP and AWS required).
• Proficiency in change management and operational support processes.
• Ability to mentor and lead technical initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in network engineering.
• Certifications like CCNP, CCIE and/or cloud-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Network Engineer).
• Working knowledge of GCP and AWS network architectures.
